In 1970 Ghanaian filmmaker Nii Kwate Owoo gained access to the British Museum to make this short film about the valuable African artifacts held there and make his case for their restitution. Colonization had a major impact on Africa’s culture and history, including contemporary African art. This film perfectly displays how our African Art was colonized. We hope you get valuable insights from the film.
